On August 5, 1989, Sharifa Alkhateeb spoke of the “long range process of making America Muslim, all of America Muslim.”
On August 5, 1989, Muslim activist Sharifa Alkhateeb (1946-2004) spoke at the Muslim Americans Political Awareness Conference.
Her message was quite clear: To make all of America Muslim.
Philadelphia-born Sharifa Alkhateeb was a Muslim activist who “who helped place courses in Middle Eastern cultures and Arabic in public schools,” wrote the New York Times upon her death in 2004.
Here is a transcript of the main segment, via Snopes.com:
While our objective, our final objective, is not just to become part of the system that we experience now and that we see, our final objective is to create our own Islamic systems, and not only create Islamic systems for Muslims but to look at all the other people who are sharing this country with us as potential Muslims. And if we look at them as potential Muslims, and if we feel that we have the obligation, which Allah has told us, to try and bring them into the same style of thinking and the same way of behaving and the same objectives that we have then we need to have some way to communicating with them, and someway we can work with them. And in that long range process of making America Muslim, all of America Muslim, we have to have some actual short range goals. [Emphasis added.]
Although Sharifa Alkhateeb’s long range goal was not achieved during her life time, based on Pew research, between 1992 and 2012, approximately 1.7 million Muslims entered the U.S. as legal permanent residents, jumping from about 50,000 in 1992 to 100,000 [per year] in 2012, reported the Atlanta Journal Constitution earlier this year.
In the U.S., the latest Pew numbers from 2017 show the country is home to an estimated 3.45 million Muslims of all ages — about 1.1 percent of the total U.S. population.
But by 2050, Pew researchers estimate Islam will supplant Judaism as the second-most popular religion in the U.S. with 8.1 million Muslims ultimately making up 2.1 percent of the future population.
Of course, the Pew statistics only studied immigration and birth rates.
The indoctrination of public school children has be going on for a while now and, in the 2018 mid-term elections, there were more Muslims running for office than at any time since 9/11, according to the American Family Association.
“There is not a single one of the rights identified in the First Amendment that the Qu’ran or Sharia law honors,” the AFA points out.
“In Islam, there is no freedom of religion (Saudi Arabia does not have a single church building anywhere), freedom of speech or the press (criticizing Islam or Muhammad will land you in jail), no freedom of assembly (even home Bible studies are flatly illegal in Saudi Arabia), and no freedom to petition the government for the redress of grievances.”
There’s no denying the face of America is changing. The question is, how far will you let it go?
