On Wednesday, a 33-year old California man went on a killing spree that left four people dead and two others injured before he was arrested.
Police said the suspect, Zachary Castaneda, used “multiple knives or machetes” in the attacks reported Time.com.
It is unknown whether Castaneda obtained his “multiple knives or machetes” lawfully.
The violence appeared to be random and the only known motives seem to be “robbery, hate, homicide,” Garden Grove police Lt. Carl Whitney said at a news conference.
“These were random acts of violence — our suspect was not involved with any of the victims,” said Whitney.
I'm currently taking a class on Political Violence around the world.
I learned that in Rwanda's 100 days of genocide, 800,000 people were killed with Machettes (low-tech violence).
Guns aren't the problem, people are.

Perhaps California should pass stricter knife or machete laws.
