WATCH: Is Conservatives’ Outrage Over ‘The Hunt’ Misguided And Premature?

Conservatives are angry over a yet-to-be released movie about the ‘Deplorables’ being hunted. But should they be?

There is a soon-to-be released movie called, The Hunt, that has conservatives in an uproar.

Produced by Jason Blum, who’s known for his violent franchises like The Purge and Insidious, The Hunt is being promoted as a dark, R rated political “satire.”

Without seeing the movie or its ending, however, based on everything currently available (from the trailer to the movie description), it appears conservatives’ ire may be premature.

By watching the trailer (below), as well as the movie’s description, it pretty apparent that the “elites” are the antagonists and the “deplorables” are the protagonists—and the deplorables “turns the tables” on their “hunters.”

From the official trailer description:

Twelve strangers wake up in a clearing. They don’t know where they are, or how they got there. They don’t know they’ve been chosen… for a very specific purpose … The Hunt.

In the shadow of a dark internet conspiracy theory, a bunch of elites gathers for the very first time at a remote Manor House to hunt humans for sport. But the elites’ master plan is about to be derailed because one of the hunted, Crystal (Betty Gilpin, GLOW), knows The Hunters’ game better than they do. She turns the tables on the killers, picking them off, one by one, as she makes her way toward the mysterious woman (two-time Oscar® winner Hilary Swank) at the center of it all. [Emphasis added.]

Here is just some of the conservative outrage on social media.

At least one person, however, sees possibilities of The Hunt differently.

Until The Hunt is released and its ending known, we won’t know if conservatives’ ire is justified or not.
