This is YUGE! Trump’s Approval Numbers Among Minorities May Spell Disaster For Democrats

Hispanic and and Black approval ratings of President Trump are higher than expected and Democrats should be worried.

Under the constant din of ‘Trump is a racist!’ from Democrats and the media, there is a groundswell of support among Hispanic and Black Americans that indicates that a significant portion of two Democratic strongholds are not buying into the hyperbolic rhetoric, according to recent poll numbers.

Despite the fact that 49% of Democrats think Trump voters are racist, according to a Rasmussen Reports poll last month, a significant number of minorities approve of the job the President is doing and that could spell disaster in 2020 for the Democrats.

Under the headline “Trump is winning with urban voters and has record support with African Americans,” Zogby Analytics points out that “overall, a slim majority (51%–27% strongly and 24% somewhat approve) of likely voters approve of Trump’s job as president, while 47% disapprove-37% strongly and 10% somewhat disapprove; only 2% were not sure.”

However, a deeper dive into the numbers is where Democrats are likely getting the most nervous.

“This began in earnest when, in January of this year, Marist found that Trump’s approval rating among Hispanics had reached 50 percent,” writes David Catron in the American Spectator.

Then, in February, a Morning Consult poll showed Hispanic approval of the president at 45 percent. This was followed by a March poll from McLaughlin & Associates that found Hispanic approval for the president at 50 percent. All three polls were discounted as outliers by the media or simply ignored. This continued in June, after Harvard/Harris showed similar findings. Much the same strategy was still being pursued last week after Zogby Analytics discovered even worse news for the Democrats:

Race also played a factor in Trump’s job approval rating. Hispanics, this time around, were much more likely to approve of his job performance (49% approve/51% disapprove), while the president also saw his numbers jump with African Americans. This was his second straight poll with over a quarter support from African Americans (28% approve/70% disapprove). If Trump wins half of Hispanics and a quarter of African Americans in 2020, Democrats will be in trouble! [Emphasis added.]

The Zogby numbers are separate from the Rasmussen Report poll that showed Trump’s approval ratings among Blacks went up nine percentage points earlier this month.

That poll bump took place after his twitter “attacks” Baltimore’s Elijah Cummings, as well as the city’s crime and rat infestation—which the Democrats portrayed as “racist.”
