CNN, Along With DNC, Caught Rigging Democrats’ Primary Against Sanders (Again)?

History does have a tendency to repeat itself…

It looks like CNN and the DNC are up to their old tricks of colluding to rig an election (again).

Even before the undercover recordings revealed CNN Worldwide President Jeff Zucker and members of his staff discussing focusing on Democrats’ efforts to impeach President Donald Trump, it was no secret that CNN hates the President.

However, it also appears that the news network’s efforts to sway public opinion does not just end with its negative overage of the President.

Although she is going to be at Tuesday night’s Democratic Party debate after all, Rep. Tulsi Gabbard had previously threatened to boycott the debate, stating: “In this 2020 election, the DNC and corporate media are rigging the election again, but this time against the American people in the early voting states of Iowa, New Hampshire, South Carolina, and Nevada.”

It’s not the first time.

The Democrats’ primary in 2016 was famously rigged against Bernie Sanders and, later, CNN contributor Donna Brazile was caught giving debate questions to Hillary Clinton’s campaign.

“I mean CNN and all of the establishment press totally tilted the playing field from day one,” Cenk Uygur (host of online news show “The Young Turks”) said in 2016.

Now, as Joe Biden fades in his polling numbers, it appears CNN is trying to rig the Democratic Party’s primary again—toward (current) DNC frontrunner Sen. Elizabeth Warren—and, once again, away from Sen. Bernie Sanders.

In February, CNN was forced to apologize after failing to disclose that it had packed a Bernie Sanders town-hall audience with Democratic Party operatives.

As Paste Magazine noted at the time:

There is absolutely, positively no question that elite members of the Democratic and Republican Parties, as well as major media, despise Bernie Sanders because he openly advocates destroying the system they sit atop. When you bring a bunch of politically-involved people out and depict them as just regular “Maryland voters,” one cannot help but wonder about the motivations behind a decision to do less journalism than is required of the situation. CNN brought a de facto lobbyist on their air and didn’t disclose it. That’s bad.

Then, there’s this more recent example:

“Democratic presidential candidate Elizabeth Warren’s zinger at an LGBT town hall may have gone viral, but CNN failed to disclose that the questioner donated the federal maximum to her 2018 Massachusetts Senate campaign,” reports the Washington Free Beacon.

CNN’s Chris Cuomo introduced Morgan Cox at the Thursday town hall as “the chair of the Human Rights Campaign board of directors” who was part of “a real estate investment firm in Dallas, Texas.” Cox asked Warren what she would say if “a supporter approaches you and says, ‘Senator, I’m old-fashioned and my faith teaches me that marriage is between one man and one woman.'”

“Well, I’m going to assume it’s a guy who said that and I’m going to say, ‘Then just marry one woman. I’m cool with that,'” Warren said, before adding to uproarious laughter, “Assuming you can find one.”

The CNN chyron described Cox as “Chair, Human Rights Campaign Board of Directors.” It could have just as easily identified Cox as “Donor, Elizabeth Warren.”

“Now we are in the phase of what I call the Bernie write-off,” Sanders’ spokesman Jeff Weaver told reporters in August.

Following Bernie Sanders’ heart attack las month, CNN’s Chris Cizella penned a piece about Biden, Sanders and Warren’s ages, stating: “While Sanders and his campaign (and his supporters) are quick to downplay how serious (or not) this heart attack was for the Vermont senator, it’s hard to get away from this fact: Sanders, a 78-year-old man, had a heart attack that required surgery.”

If, in fact, “the DNC and corporate media are rigging the election again,” as Tulsi Gabbard has asserted, it will likely be apparent in the media reviews and talking points following Tuesday night’s debate.
