“Do not bring with you the thing that’s causing you to flee those states. Come to the land of freedom…Don’t blow it when you come here.”
More and more people and businesses are moving from “blue states” to “red states,” and Texas has typically been one of the top states that draws many of transplants into the Lone Star State.
For example, between 2008 and 2016, an estimated 13,000 companies left the state of California and Texas has been the number one destination for many of the people fleeing California.
Of the 564,000 people who moved to the Lone Star State in 2018—that’s 1,545 people per day—California accounts for no less than 15 percent of the total number of new residents, according to one study.
Now, Greg Abbott, the Governor of the Lone Star State has a warning for those fleeing “blue states” for Texas: “Do not bring with you the thing that’s causing you to flee those states. Come to the land of freedom…Don’t blow it when you come here.”

As California continues is trend of moving further to the Left, the movement out of California does not appear to be easing at all.
In fact, it only seems to be getting worse.
